The room was dirty from the moment we arrived, and asking to move didn't help because the second room was just as bad. We couldn't stay, so we booked another hotel at the last minute for much more money because we had no choice. There were stains and dirt in several places, the sheets smelled awful, and there were mosquitoes in the room. The next morning we found a cockroach. My partner also had an allergic reaction during our stay, and we have photos of it. The host offered us 90-95 euros so we wouldn't post a negative review, which was shocking. Rather than apologizing or fixing anything, he seemed to be trying to silence us. He charged us for two nights even though we stayed one, then said he had us on his camera. That felt extremely uncomfortable and unprofessional. This was the worst accommodation experience of our lives, stressful and unhygienic. The place didn't meet basic standards of cleanliness, safety, or professionalism. We would never return and strongly advise other travelers to avoid it.

Mario was friendly, hospitable, and easy to communicate with. Our room was spacious and generally clean, though the patterned sheets had a few small stains. We used the white sheets instead, and they were clean. I think this can happen with patterned sheets in accommodations generally. Breakfast was limited to coffee, a croissant, and a few crackers, but we preferred eating out anyway. Our room faced the street, while I think the other four or five rooms face the garden. We could hear cars and people talking, though the area was quiet overall and it wasn't a problem. With only six rooms, the place wasn't noisy. It was a comfortable stay, with a fridge and hair dryer, in a central but quiet area with good restaurants that weren't busy. Tourist spots were nearby, and we could also take the bus. Roma Termini and metro stations were about a 10-minute walk away. I'd stay again.

The location is convenient for exploring Rome on foot or by public transport, and the area is good and quiet. Marios was very friendly and helpful. We were four people visiting over the New Year's Holidays and booked two rooms in this apartment, Suite Horti Sallustiani, which has four to five bedrooms with private wc on the building's fourth floor. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, were VERY dirty and need refreshing. The mattresses should be replaced, along with some equipment, including the tiny washbin and the broken toilet brush in our room. Breakfast was very poor: one croissant, some toast, small butter packets, little jam cups, three juice varieties, fruit, and a coffee machine that was powered only during breakfast. The tables for breakfast are by the entrance-reception, where there's also a small balcony for smoking. Breakfast runs from 08:30 to 10:00. Wifi and internet were very good, as was the heating in the room.

A good choice for the central location and the sense of safety coming and going. We give it 80 out of 100.
