I provided proof that the airline cancelled my flight, shared the travel advisory from the Singapore government, and explained my genuine safety concerns. The hotel still repeatedly refused any goodwill refund or gesture, adding stress instead of showing empathy. Its constant reminders about the non-refundable policy made me feel that guest wellbeing wasn’t a priority. I paid for a service I never received because I chose not to board and put safety first. Stay at your own risk. The crisis that began in end Feb is known to many, and the war’s impact has disrupted international flights widely. My trip from Singapore to Rome involved a transit through Abu Dhabi, and Singapore’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs advised Singaporeans to defer travel to the Middle East because of the volatile security situation. Since reaching Rome would currently mean travelling through a region covered by such advisories, I hoped the hotel might reconsider and offer a goodwill refund.

We couldn’t sleep for 3 nights because of the unbelievable street noise and vibrations, and it wrecked our holiday. The rooms were small and depressing. Pay more and find a better hotel, or don’t come to Rome.

The convenient location, spacious room, and high ceilings left a good impression. But reception staff weren’t very friendly. When bedbugs bit me in the room, I asked to move. I could see on booking.com that a room was available, but at first they told me the hotel was fully booked. After I showed them the website again and insisted, they finally agreed to change my room. I felt their response to the bedbug incident was inadequate and lacked sincerity.

The staff made the stay especially enjoyable, always friendly and ready to help. Our room was very clean, and the location worked perfectly for us. Everything went smoothly, and I’d happily come back.

We had a good stay overall. The hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, and the location was great. The room’s view wasn’t the best, and we missed having bathrobes. We also didn’t enjoy the restaurant.
