Rhea Silvia Luxury Navona

Jennifer made us feel so welcome and was friendly and incredibly helpful. We had a lovely stay at Rhea Silvia in Piazza Navonna in September, 2025. The breakfasts were plentiful and beautifully presented, and our accommodations were lovely too. So many attractions were close by. We hope to return someday for more of Italy’s sights, sounds, and wonderful flavors.

We paid 288 plus another 80 euros, 368 in all, and it absolutely wasn’t worth it. The room we were given on arrival was tiny, poor quality, had no window, and looked very different from the online photos, even though we’d already booked and paid. When we asked to change rooms, staff wanted 80 euros more. They said we’d been upgraded to the hotel’s “best room” after we paid, but the stay was still terrible. Cleanliness and soundproofing were poor, service was average, there was no shower gel, only one bottle of water, and the room amenities were low quality. Extremely disappointing, and I strongly don’t recommend this hotel.

Once inside, we could shut out the city buzz and settle into a cool, quiet oasis. Having a key to the building’s front door after check-in made us feel more like locals than tourists. This isn’t a chain hotel, so it has a character of its own. It’s on the first floor of a traditional building, entered from a side street between two restaurants through a shared door with intercom access. You can use the marble stairs or the small, characterful lift to get up.

Breakfast delivered to the room was so convenient after a long trip, and the beds were really comfortable. The rooms were clean, the staff were friendly and very accommodating, and the location was perfect. We’d definitely come back. Appreciate the whole team, especially Sandro.
