The room had everything we needed, from the coffee maker and kettle to the Wi-Fi, safe, shower, jet tub, and bidet. There were lots of outlets, though bring an international plug. Our minibar was included and topped up daily, and breakfast was too, ordered by barcode each morning. The beds and bedding were comfortable, and both room types fit three people, though the Piazza Navona view rooms are smaller. Finding the place took a bit of luck since there’s no large sign. Someone downstairs pointed us to the big green door beside the restaurant; we spotted the “Rhea Silvia luxury” call button and were buzzed in. There’s an elevator. The location is handy for all the sights. The staff were the best part: Gilbert, Rona, Girlie, Jaden, Rufus, Jenny and Marlo were welcoming, always smiling, and went out of their way to help. I can’t say enough about them, and I’ll definitely stay again.

Breakfast was amazing, and a couple of mornings the staff came in early so we could eat before our tours. During our four days there, they treated us like family. They called cabs for us several times and walked us over to make sure we got the right one. When we left, they saw us to the cab and gave us directions for what we needed. We’ll definitely stay there again in Rome. Thanks, guys!

It was expensive, but for the quality it felt like good value compared with a more ordinary hotel. The beds were comfy, the rooms were really good quality, and they had air conditioning and all the mod cons, plus mood lighting in the shower. There was a bottle of Chianti and complimentary coffee in the room, and personalized information on the lobby blackboard. Since it’s a small B&B, the service felt very personal. Erica, Fabio and Giuseppe were amazing. Erica also suggested nearby places to eat and things to do while we were in Trastevere for a short time.

Getting there was easy thanks to an efficient airport pickup, and we had a great stay in Trastevere, a lovely neighborhood with some of Rome’s best restaurants. Our room was spacious, seemed newly renovated, and had everything we needed, including a bottle of Chianti. The staff were friendly, professional and keen to help. The housekeeper was a real perfectionist about cleaning. I can’t think of a single complaint.
