I booked one night at “Rhome Ottaviano” through Booking.com for July 2023, but never got to stay there. A few weeks before my trip, I was told the property would be closed for renovations and that I’d get a refund. That refund never came.

You won’t see much of the manager after they hand over the keys, since there’s no reception and you need to arrange a time with them. The place is comfortable, and I doubt you’d regret staying there. Its location near the Vatican is a big plus, and the Wi-Fi signal is good.

The air conditioning didn’t work, and neither did the TV remote. The bathroom was run-down, too. Staff at reception seemed to be having a hard time and didn’t speak Italian. We had no one there if we needed help, and all communication was by text.

I’ve tried emailing and calling her every way I can think of, but nobody answers.
