Ripetta Central Suites

Rome was in the middle of a pretty intense heat wave, so I was glad the air conditioning in my room worked so well. The place is small, comfortable, and welcoming, in a good spot close to everything but not caught up in the crowds. I’d definitely recommend it.

I’ve only been checked in for two hours, but so far it’s all been good. The receptionist even came outside to meet me so I wouldn’t get lost 🙈. The room’s big enough for two, with a large bathroom, and everything is spotless. The heating and AC are controlled with a remote.

The location is great, though I had a hard time finding the entrance on my first day and needed help from other people. Some signage at the entrance would help. My room was spacious and very clean, and the receptionist was nice. One other thing, please don’t recommend the Greenline hop-on hop-off bus to guests. It gets crowded and takes longer to arrive than the other buses nearby.

We’d paid in full when our flight was cancelled, and then couldn’t get any adjustment. Nobody answered the phone or replied to emails. Front desk coverage is limited, so there’s no guarantee you’ll get help when you need it. They were rude, and it left me wondering how they’d handle a guest emergency. If customer service and feeling that your custom is respected matter to you, I’d look elsewhere. There are better places with full-time staff who’ll actually help.
