The room could use a new mattress and pillows, as both felt a bit worn, but we still had a good stay. The owner was very kind and happy to offer tips on getting around and what to see. The place is on a quiet internal street, so there was no traffic noise, though the walls between rooms let through everything. We had quiet neighbors, but louder ones could bother light sleepers. The location is a real advantage, just steps from Trastevere, with tram 8 and bus H connecting to the city center.

Restaurants nearby are a big plus, but the owner came across as dishonest and acting in bad faith. At this price, there are better options. I'd avoid it.

It's a beautiful property, and with proper upkeep it could be worth four stars. The owner seems willing, but maintenance is lacking.
