For the price, it was a nice place for a hostel, and the staff were really helpful. The young man at reception helped my wife and me with all our suitcases and was very kind. He even waited up for us when we arrived late. The shower water was cold and took too long to get warm enough, though. I stayed an extra day and they charged me double the usual price. I was told the airport transfer would cost 14 Euros, but the taxi driver charged me 40 Euros.

The place looks a bit dodgy from outside, with a battered door covered in graffiti, but inside it's much nicer. The rooms were fine, and the shower was much better than at the other hostel I stayed in. It's decent value if you want to stay in this location. My flight was delayed, so I arrived late and nobody answered the buzzer. I had to spend that night in another nearby hostel. To their credit, they refunded the first night and were very apologetic the next day. If you might arrive late, make sure you get clear instructions for contacting the night receptionist who's supposed to be there.

I didn't expect this much for the price. The location is really convenient and the service was great. Host Nico gave me lots of tips about airport transport, showed me the main points around the city, and helped with my luggage. The kitchen had everything, and the room came with towels and a hairdryer. I had a really nice stay and would recommend it to others.

The staff were exceptionally helpful. One of them even came out onto the street to help with our bags when we couldn't find the place on arrival. It's right by the central station, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. Just be aware that the towels aren't washed here. It's an excellent place to stay in Rome.

We booked and paid for a room at Romangelo II Hostel for my mother and her friends, who were due to stay from April 17 to April 23, 2020. When Italy closed its borders to tourists because of the epidemic, we had to cancel the trip. For the last four weeks, since mid-March, I've tried to contact the hotel by message through booking.com, where I booked, and by calling its number. I've had no reply. I know these are difficult times for everyone, but I don't think ignoring us is acceptable. There was zero service after they took the money.
