Romantic Trastevere Apartment

We were able to get to the tourist sights easily by public transport. The apartment is within walking distance of Roma Trastevere train station, with a tram at the top of the street and grocery stores just a short stroll away. We’re an Aussie couple who stayed in early March 2025. Getting inside was easy, though the first entry felt a bit like a 007 movie. There are several individual, secure private rooms off a locked shared area. We didn’t see other guests, but heard doors opening and closing as people came and went. It could be nice to stay here with friends or family. The rooms aren’t especially fancy, but they’re very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable, the shower hot, and the refrigerator a good size. The modern coffee machine was handy, the reverse-cycle air con was quiet and worked well, and the Wi-Fi was stable and fast. Every Sunday from 8am, there’s a market on Viale Trastevere at the bottom of the street, towards the river. I’d definitely stay here again.

It’s well placed for getting to different parts of Rome, and the room itself was beautiful, spacious and clean. But I didn’t manage to sleep either night, even with earplugs. Street noise came through the old windows, and the neighbors had their TVs blaring while other residents held social gatherings. Two sleepless nights.
