Rome Visits

There was no working wifi for our entire three-day stay. We brought it up several times, but they took no responsibility for fixing it. The room was also unbearably hot, with no way to control the temperature, and it wasn’t clean. I got mosquito bites while sleeping because there were so many bugs. A terrible stay at Rome Visits.

The room itself was clean and nice, which was a plus. Finding the place was a struggle, though: it took us 40 minutes and asking more than ten locals because the sign is so small and easy to miss. The hotel also hadn’t sent the complicated entry instructions, so we had to make a long-distance call to get them.

We liked the breakfast, and they let us leave our bags after checkout so we could go on our tour before moving to another hotel. The property is near transit and plenty of restaurants. Still, the AC wouldn’t work and the room was so hot I couldn’t cool down. Water kept running in the shower, and the booking address led us to a different property. I contacted the owner and was glad she replied quickly. The neighborhood was too crowded for us, so keep that in mind. The owner replied that we’d stayed less than 24 hours and that the review surprised them. They said the AC worked for everyone else and we only needed to press a small wall button, and that nobody had told them about the shower water. They also said it wasn’t their problem if someone in 2023 couldn’t find a place in central Rome, since they’d sent photos showing the way. They suggested anyone wanting somewhere quieter should book in the suburbs, and said those issues weren’t really part of the stay. What a joke, LOL. Before getting smart with someone about your run-down property, make sure you use proper English.

Cute spot in a good location, though a bit pricey. We were able to check in very early, which was great when we arrived. The entrance is across the street from the restaurant marked on Google Maps, as shown in the gate photo. You can leave your bags after checkout, but allow plenty of time to retrieve them. The woman working never answered the buzzer when we came back, so we had to WhatsApp them using the contact number on Google.
