Salotto Piramide B&B Hotel

This was the worst B&B I’ve ever used. Don’t trust the photos, the room didn’t match the listing. The air conditioning didn’t work, and the sofa bed wasn’t usable as a bed for a grown man, either double or even single. Judging by the other recent reviews, the owners don’t seem to care. I’m looking forward to their reply. They seem indifferent to ripping people off. Beware of the owners of Salotto Piramide, they don’t seem at all focused on their customers.

Getting into and out of the city was easy, and the room was clean when we arrived. But the shower was broken, and nobody responded when we reported it. The toilet was en suite, but in our room it was out in the corridor. The keys were such a hassle that we ended up leaving the rooms unlocked. Then at 7 AM, men were standing outside our window for construction work. That wasn’t their fault, but still. There was an AC unit on the wall with no controller. Apparently it’s only used in the “summer months,” unless 32°C isn’t hot enough for locals, because it sure was for us. With only the bed working properly, I wouldn’t recommend it. We stayed as a couple from 13 Apr 24 to 18 Apr 24. Someone will contact you with directions to find the place. Everything in the room worked as shown in the photos, including the TV, water heater, lights and toilet. I was unsure about safety at first because the walls are thin and the doorknobs are a bit old, but everything was fine. The people there were friendly, when we got to see them. Someone was around each morning to do housekeeping. Let them know if you want the room tidied. I suspect they keep track of room maintenance themselves, since ours was tidied on the third day. The location is fantastic, with great breakfast, lunch, dinner and dessert options, plus transport about a five-minute walk away. There’s also a shared kitchenette for simple meals, and a washer and dryer, though I’m not sure if guests can use them. Ciao.

The room was quiet and comfortable, and it was clean when we arrived. It also had a small elevator, which was handy for our luggage. Check-in is online, and you unlock the doors through a website, so you don’t need keys. There’s no one at the front desk, but you can reach staff on WhatsApp. Our toilet seat and shower head attachment were broken. The staff said they could compensate us for the inconvenience.
