San Carlo Executive Apartment

A lovely stay, with Rome's sights close enough to reach on foot: the Spanish Steps took about 3 minutes, Piazza del Popolo and Fontana di Trevi about 7, Piazza Venezia around 10, and The Vatican 15. One thing that could improve checkout is making it clear that guests can pay in Euros. Plenty of travellers prefer local currency to avoid extra exchange fees.

We felt at ease here, even travelling with our two-month-old, and the staff were helpful throughout. Our room was well equipped and regularly serviced. The location worked really well for sightseeing, and we'd happily come back.

The room we got had a small window and a terrible view. I had paid for a room overlooking the church and main street, based on the picture on their website, which was a screenshot I attached. You can see in the video what we actually had. At one point, an older man watched my wife from a balcony while she was lying in bed.

The room was clean, and housekeeping did an excellent job. For the price and prime location, that made this a fair deal, though I wouldn't call it a four-star property like Google does. To me it's a decent three-star place. Some basics were missing, like tissues and small soaps, and the shower could use a soap dish. The bedside table is pressboard, and its drawer front kept coming off. Maybe this is as good as you can get for the price in this area.
