They call this a five-star hotel, so that’s the rating I’m giving it. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. Even though it’s on a busy square, the soundproof glass keeps things quiet. Housekeeping was great and unobtrusive, coming in while we were out. Breakfast was excellent, and the included package is worth getting. The staff and concierge were incredibly attentive. They arranged taxis and got us into restaurants, and I can’t say enough good things about the front desk team. My one complaint is the lobby, which looks tired and outdated. I’m not sure when it was last remodeled, but it seems due. Having a spritz at the downstairs bar was fun, though the one person on duty couldn’t keep up with the guests. They really need more staff there. The hotel is very central, and I’d highly recommend it.

The subway station is right outside, so getting to Rome’s main sights was easy. The hotel’s layout took a little while to figure out, though. In our room, the water stayed hot and steady even with several taps running, and the heated towel rack warmed up fast. There were plenty of towels, and the soundproofing kept things really quiet. As high-tier members celebrating a special occasion, we were given a thoughtful room decoration and an upgrade that felt like more than one level. The service went well beyond what I’d expected from a five-star hotel. I’d happily stay here again next time I’m in Rome.

Marco, the doorman, was a real bright spot. He was kind and helpful, arranged a meal for us at Lil Vinito's Restaurant, and the food and service there were great, even if the steaks weren’t quite like the ones in the US. We also liked our room and its view. The rest of the stay didn’t feel five-star. We were charged to the room before we’d even reached it, though it was fully prepaid. No one explained how the lights, equipment, or doors worked, and we weren’t told that the door needed the key to close fully when we left. Turn-down service came just once in our three evenings. The online listing said there was a pool and hot tub, but there wasn’t either. I often find people in Rome less friendly than elsewhere, but I still expect hotel staff to be especially helpful and nice.

Veronica and Silvia at reception made us feel very welcome. They were kind, professional, and ready to help, and service across the hotel was attentive and efficient. The hotel’s lovely view added to the stay, and its location made it easy to explore, with plenty of sights within walking distance. Breakfast had a good range of fresh, tasty choices. We had a really pleasant visit.

We left early, and even though we were eligible for free cancellation, staff offered no refund or solution. Mariacristina and Silvia said there was no manager on duty because it was Sunday, told us to leave and follow up the next day, and made no effort to sort things out. As an Ambassador Marriott Bonvoy member, I found the experience shocking and far below the brand standards I expected. We were five guests sharing three rooms at Sina Bernini Bristol. All three rooms and the corridor smelled strongly of sewage. The rooms felt dated, poorly maintained, and unclean, and the sheets didn’t look fresh when we arrived. There was an electricity problem too, and we had to go to reception to get the power switched on. Noise from outside or nearby rooms made it hard to rest. Check-in was dismissive and unwelcoming, and service stayed below expectations throughout. The overall condition felt closer to a three-star hotel than a five-star one.
