Singer Palace Hotel Roma

Singer Palace’s staff are what made our five-night honeymoon so easy and enjoyable. They paid attention to who we were and what mattered to us, and kept finding ways to make the stay better. We stayed at a more expensive five-star hotel nearby for two nights afterward, and Singer Palace matched it in every respect. When I wanted flowers sent to our room, they asked about the budget, style, color, and delivery time, then arranged everything and added it to our room bill. It took only a few WhatsApp messages. That’s how things went whenever we needed something, with very little back and forth. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are lovely, and the location is great. Most sights are a 5-20 minute walk away or a short, affordable taxi ride. There’s lots of shopping and restaurants on the street, and staff can connect you with restaurants, bars, tours, or shopping. We used their partner high-end gym a few minutes down the street too. Breakfast was fantastic, and the rooftop restaurant and bar were both beautiful and delicious, with the same attentive service as the rest of the hotel.

The care from the staff made Singer Palace feel special, from the pre-trip planning to our last day. Niloufar helped us make the most of our Rome visit, arranging a private Vatican guide, suggesting restaurants we booked, and sharing a handy walking tour for when we first arrived. She even enjoyed meeting our miniature poodle Rufus on the call. We got in on an early flight and were taken up to the sunny rooftop for breakfast while the room was being prepared. The staff helped us plan the day, then texted when our room was ready. It was cool and comfortable despite the Rome heat, with comfortable pillows, good sheets, and strong water pressure. They’d even put a pregnancy pillow on the bed for my wife without us asking. We slept well, which was no small thing during her pregnancy. We also had a great dinner at the rooftop restaurant, and the prices felt like good value. The location made it easy to pop out to Rome’s sights and return to our base. Their recommendations for places to eat and visit were excellent, including Vanda in Trestevere. Michela gave us a baby bib for our unborn daughter, a lovely surprise. Everyone was welcoming, and the whole team added something special. After staying at other lovely, pricier hotels in Italy, we found ourselves missing Singer. We’ve stayed at luxury hotels across Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America, and the service here ranks among the best we’ve experienced. I’m grateful to Michela, Niloufar, and the rest of the staff, and would absolutely recommend Singer Palace.

We were a family of five with kids under 13, so we booked a junior suite and a standard double, rooms 106 and 104. The suite was beautifully decorated and had lots of space for us to relax together, plus one and a half bathrooms. The kids were treated so well, and we found treats in the room every night. The location makes a visit efficient, with historic sites only a few minutes away. Service deserves more than five stars. They replied promptly on Booking.com and were knowledgeable about the area. Whenever we asked for help, like arranging transport or buying train tickets, the answer was yes. Breakfast service upstairs was attentive, though the food itself was so-so. The cappuccinos and fresh egg dishes were great, but the pastries could use a refresh. We’d definitely stay again when we return.

The room was elegant, immaculate, and well appointed, and the food was delicious. We spent Christmas at Singer Palace and had their Christmas Eve seven fishes dinner, which was beautifully organized from the aperitifs through the generous meal. Breakfast was lovely every morning, and the restaurant and bar were excellent. What stood out just as much was the personal service. Over decades of travel, we haven’t experienced much like it. The staff arranged whatever we needed and noticed small things, like housekeeping leaving fresh water by my bed each day after seeing a bottle on my table in the morning. We could walk to every sight we visited, including the Vatican, Coliseum, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, and Borghese Gallery. Visiting Rome was wonderful, but staying at this exquisite boutique hotel made the trip something we’ll remember. Grazie Mille to the whole staff.
