Soggiorno Downtown

For what we needed, this place was just right. We wanted a good location, air conditioning, and a comfortable bed, and those were all five-star. We walked everywhere, and I was glad to have a cold room and a king bed that wasn’t too soft or too firm. It was generally quiet, with no loud restaurants right below the windows, and the area felt safe. We could get bottled water whenever we wanted by asking. The shower was small, and the place is a bit aged. Staff were really kind and helpful, though they weren’t always available. If we needed anything, we could text and they’d sort it out. It worked well for our Rome stay.

We spent four nights here. There are six rooms, and ours was one of the two that didn’t face the street. Unfortunately, the window looked onto a dumpster, so we kept it shut and got no sunlight. The bathroom was quite cramped too. The front desk is staffed only during working hours, and it could take a day to get bottled water. Cavour metro station is around a six-minute walk away. Keep that in mind if you have luggage, since the pavements aren’t in the best condition.

A peaceful, very clean place in a convenient spot near the metro, a real downtown gem. Angel gave us excellent service and was exceptionally welcoming. I’d highly recommend staying here on a visit to beautiful Rome!

Angelo kept everything in order and made sure we had fresh bottles of water each day. The whole staff was kind, caring, and fantastic. I’d absolutely recommend this hotel.
