Spagna Dream Suites

We loved being in this part of the city, especially with Piazza di Spagna so beautiful nearby. It was easy to get to everything, yet the hotel felt like a welcome step away from the chaos around the main attractions. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the staff were kind and the service was great. The stay was perfect. I’d absolutely recommend it.

The bed was the one real drawback. Some slats on one side of the double bed were broken and patched, leaving a noticeable dip around where your back would rest. Since I was on my own, I slept on the other side and managed fine, though a broken, sunken bed really isn’t ideal. Otherwise, the standard double room was clean enough, the front desk staff were friendly, and the location was great. I was only there briefly and asked them to skip cleaning, which they did. In November, both the heating and AC worked fine. There was always coffee, and I could grab another capsule from the lobby when I ran out.

We arrived during a July heat wave, and the room was unbearably hot because its air conditioning was broken. They had left us with only a fan, and hadn’t told us about the problem. At 11 AM there was no reception, despite them having said someone would be there. We left our bags and came back around 7, only to find reception empty again and our room key waiting in the door. We never saw anyone or managed to reach anybody all evening to ask for another room or cancel. The room was uninhabitable, especially at that price. The service was basically nonexistent, and they weren’t honest about the room’s condition or facilities. Staying at Spanga Dream Suites was an absolute nightmare.

The room was constantly noisy, right beside the street. We also arrived without being told how to check in, so we waited outside in the heat. I called several times and tried WhatsApp, but nobody answered for 15 minutes. The staff’s lack of communication was frustrating.
