The apartment is very spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and lots of facilities. It’s in an ideal part of Trastevere, and we had a great stay. Some possible improvements: smart TVs or Firesticks, a central place to store bedding and towels, local guidance and recommendations, and standard arrival and departure instructions for all guests. The original communication was the only slight downside. A simple script with all the relevant property information would have sorted out those issues. That wasn’t a complaint about the property or its facilities.

The apartment itself was okay, and the location was good. Dealing with the owner was a bad experience. He tried to collect taxes from us in cash even though we’d paid them through Booking.com, and he also charged us an extra 150 Euro for something we’d never agreed to. There were other unpleasant incidents too, but those were the worst. I’ve seen good reviews from the past, so I can only guess the owner has changed. Stay away from this apartment!

I had to cancel my Booking reservation after someone from the hotel or its staff tried to get my credit card details. They threatened to cancel the booking unless I transferred 30% of the price to an Italian private account, using a private chat rather than the official page. Booking told me this was illegal, that they couldn’t require payment or private information that way, and that it might be a scam. Be careful if they ask you for anything like this.

The apartment is in a 17th-century building in Rome, within 200 m of Piazza di Santa Maria in Trastevere. It has free WiFi and air conditioning, and San Francesco a Ripa is 400 m away, with the Synagogue of Rome 600 m away. There are two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms, a seating area, and a kitchen with a dishwasher and oven. Italian breakfast is available each morning. You can go cycling nearby if you want to explore the area. Campo de' Fiori, Torre Argentina, and Palazzo Venezia are popular nearby sights. Rome Ciampino Airport is 14 km away.
