Tankara Suites is in a lively, fun part of Rome. I really liked the area: peaceful and quiet in the daytime, then full of life at night. A fun way to experience the city. It took me a bit to find Tankara at first since there’s no big sign. It’s next to a luggage storage place, behind big green doors, and the Google image helped me spot it. The room was spacious, with a comfortable bed and enough room to spread out my bags and regroup for the rest of the trip. Simple and enjoyable!

Maria was really kind and helpful, including with transport options and recommendations. We were very happy with our three nights in Tankara Suite. The room was clean, quiet, beautiful, and had a comfortable bed. Trastevere has lots of good restaurants, bars, and nightlife, with a cozy feel. It’s also very walkable and close to everything in Rome.

I wouldn’t stay here if you’re looking for comfort or peace. The rooms are small, there’s no customer service, and the doors are hard to open. A restaurant next door gets really loud at night. The rooms were reasonably clean, which was the only positive.

We had a small reservation mix-up, but the owner sorted us out right away. From the rustic exterior, you step inside to beautifully renovated rooms that blend old and modern styles, with tasteful, sophisticated decor. The location is wonderful. Two weeks ago I stayed near the Pantheon among lots of regular tourists, but this area feels much more authentic, especially for food and the arts scene. Loved it!
