The WhatsApp instructions before we arrived were really useful, and the friendly staff provided a cot for our little one when we asked. The room and elevator doors are fairly small, so a wheelchair or large stroller might be tricky. We got regular keys instead of electric cards, which actually worked well for us. It's very central and easy to get to the main sights. We had a very good experience and would consider staying again if we return to Rome.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and they kept my luggage after checkout so I could see more sights. They also arranged a taxi, great service. I stayed at Temple View Guesthouse with my son for the Italy v England 6 nations game. The location is excellent, with the Colesseum, Roman Forum, Spanish Steps, Trivia fountain, the Vatican, River Tiber, and many more ancient sights all walkable. The Superior Relais Temple outside is wonderful. Breakfast was decent, the rooms were clean and tidy, and I'd definitely stay again.

There are cafes, a mini supermarket, gelato shops, and restaurants nearby. The room and bathroom were large and clean, and breakfast was included in a dining area. There was pod espresso coffee too. You pay on arrival. I'd definitely stay again!

The staff were really kind, and we were glad to find a working elevator since our room was on the fourth floor. We also appreciated the snacks and bottles of water in the kitchen. The room cooled down nicely and we had no noise issues. It made a great base for exploring Rome.

Temple View sits right on Largo di Torre Argentina, and I stayed there for 10 nights in late March 2025. My window looked toward Largo di Torre. There's a taxi stand, bus stops, and bike and scooter sharing nearby, including Dott and LIME, but no metro stop close by. Food options around the square included Enoteca Corsi, Grano Trattoria, Pizza Florida, and Come 'na Vorta, which has several nearby locations. Try their steak and potatoes. A pharmacy and grocery store are just steps away. The entrance is at the back of the building and can be easy to miss because the sign is small. After check-in you get three keys, one for the building entrance, one for the floor door, and one for your room. There's an elevator. Rooms face either the back alley or the ruins, and they're only on Floors 1 and 4, which are USA Floors 2 and 5. You can occasionally hear other guests. My room faced the ruins, with two large windows and lots of daylight. I liked the busy setting, but it got noisy with the windows open, and the windows made privacy tricky. People could see me changing or using the toilet, so I had to remember to close them. I didn't mind much because I loved the view. The room was clean and had a hairdryer, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and its own heater and air conditioner. The pillows were a little flat and didn't support my neck well, though they were adequate. The bed felt like memory foam and was comfortable enough. A dresser served as a desk, and there were two bedside tables, two lamps, and a switch for the main light next to the bed. The shower pressure was strong and relaxing, the water more than hot enough, and it had a rain head, a shower arm, and body jets. The bathroom was roomy enough for me at 6'3, 260 lb. The TV supported logins to streaming services like Prime, Disney, Netflix, and YouTube. The refrigerator was available 24 hours and had free still and carbonated bottled water, plus yogurt, milk, cold cuts, and cheese for charcuterie. They also provided crackers, coffee, tea, pastries, and fresh fruit. It was a real bonus to grab cold water before heading into town. Staff were attentive and addressed concerns quickly. I'd requested the Lilac Room but was first given another room. When I repeated the request, Roton at the front desk apologized and said it would be sorted the next day. Roton moved all my things into the Lilac Room, so I returned from a tour to find everything settled. At check-in, they ask for the city tax, 5 euro per night per person, paid in bills, so have euros ready. Checkout was easy: I left my keys and texted Roton from the airport. It's more of a bed and breakfast than a full hotel, with staff usually there around 1000 to 1600, though the hours aren't very consistent. Room service and a spa aren't offered. If you're after a centrally located place at a good price, this works well. Thank you, Roton, for your hospitality.
