Tiburtina Bed And Breakfast 2.0

We ended up sleeping on concrete in an apartment building, with no warm clothes, because we had nowhere else to go. Every hotel in Rome seemed booked at 2am. I got there before midnight, within the approved check-in time, and they had texted “ok,” but nobody was there, nobody answered or replied, and there were no instructions about where to find the key. We spent the night out in the cold streets. What if I'd had a child with me? They shouldn't be allowed on Booking.

Amazing.

After unfolding the bed, we found stains on the inside of the bedspread that might have been dried semen. We tried everything to get another room. The replacement was a little more decent, but I'd never stay here again, even for free. The room was dirty and had cobwebs. The bidet leaked, the shower door was missing, and the sink was broken. A bit of silicone kept us from cutting ourselves on it. Our feet turned black from walking barefoot. They gave us a certain price on the phone, then quoted a higher one in person. So many things were overlooked, but we couldn't ignore the bedspread.

The location was the one good thing about our three-day stay. The bathroom was awful: freezing water, clogged sinks, and only three working holes in the shower. The walls seemed to be plasterboard thin, so we couldn't even talk in a normal voice without complaints about the slightest noise, including on Friday evenings. The curtains and bedspread were dirty too.
