The owner was friendly, nice, and chatty, and the common area had biscuits, pastries, yogurt, tea, coffee, and some juices for an easy quick breakfast. The location is a real plus: close enough to the station without being right in the rougher area around it. Most major sights are within a walk of under 30 minutes, and the lively neighborhood has lots of places to eat and drink. The basic room was fine, with working AC and wifi, and the room hygiene was okay. The bathroom was a major letdown. It was incredibly cramped and hard to move around in. The toilet, sink, and shower were all small, and even though I'm not a big person, using the bathroom and showering was difficult. It was a bit dirty and didn't feel properly clean, which made it uncomfortable. For the high price, I'd expect better. There's no hot breakfast. I wouldn't make this my first recommendation since it's far too pricey for what's provided. But if you don't mind the bathroom and mainly want a good location, it could work.

The hosts were very nice, and they provided daily room service. Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of towels plus shampoo, bath gel, and shower caps. Snacks were available in the lobby. The bathroom, though, was extremely tiny. The building is old, but the location is superb for the price. The Colosseum is a 10-minute walk away, and the train station and bus stop are 5 minutes away. Restaurants and convenience stores are easy to reach. We stayed for two nights and I recommend this apartment!

Tourist House B&B is in the middle of Rome, near the tourist sights and just 2 minutes from Cavour Metro station, which is its strong point. The room itself is small and in a very old apartment building, but it was clean, had two big windows, a nice washroom, and all the necessary furniture. Highly recommended for couples.

The location is very convenient and the service was good, but the place was dated and my AC didn't work. It was fine as basic lodging. From the photos I expected something else. It felt more like an Airbnb, with rooms inside an apartment in a shared building, and we were sent instructions to find it. It definitely didn't feel like a three-star hotel. Breakfast was just basic snacks. Since this was the only place I stayed in Rome, it's hard to compare, but I'd say 3.5/5.
