Vaticano Charming Rooms

The neighborhood gave us a real sense of local Rome, with residents, authentic restaurants, grocers and supermarkets, and souvenir shops selling things for about half what we saw in the city center. It was also calmer than the crowded tourist areas. The Vatican Museums entrance was an easy five-minute walk at most, and Saint Peter’s Square took around ten minutes. Multiple metro stops are within 500 metres, and the historic center is just over the River Tiber, so it’s a great base for getting around on foot or by public transport. The owners were a lovely, helpful couple who answered questions about restaurants and even arranged an airport transfer. They sent photo instructions for getting into the apartments, which made check-in simple. Our room was plain but cozy and private, with its own bathroom. There are three rooms total, sharing a kitchen stocked with what you need if you don’t want to eat out every time. It felt more like staying with family than in a hotel. This place helped make our first Rome visit feel perfect, and we felt at ease in a city full of tourist traps.
