Vecchia Roma Resort

Our hosts made our time in Rome a delight. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful, with useful travel advice and suggestions for places to eat. The property was spotless and easy to find, and we could walk to attractions and amenities from there.

Marco and Luca were lovely hosts, and the room had plenty of space, was clean, and was well equipped. I’d especially recommend Marco’s neighborhood tour. A few of the places he showed us became favorite spots to spend time when I took a break from the main sights. For a first visit to Rome, this place is ideal: the main attractions are walkable, and Circus Massimo station connects you to everywhere. Best bed and breakfast I’ve stayed at, and the pistachio croissant was the best! :-)

Marco was a friendly local owner and gave us loads of tips for enjoying Rome like locals and avoiding tourist traps. The tasty breakfast came with a friendly smile and a chat from Marco each time. We spent four nights at Vecchia Roma Resort, one of our best planning decisions. It’s central but quiet and not touristy, with the Colosseum a 5-minute walk away and Circus Maximus just around the corner. The room was comfortable. Definitely recommend it!

The room was very clean, the air conditioning worked properly, and the hot water, kettle, and minibar were all useful. It’s a quiet spot but within walking distance of Rome’s attractions, restaurants, and nightlife. The host was patient and so helpful, and his recommendations were the best we got, especially for restaurants. He also served the best breakfast in Rome! Great service at a fair price. I’d give him and the place six stars if I could. A good fit for couples, friends traveling together, or families with older children.
