Apartment Via del Corso

After we found the room in such awful, dirty condition, we asked to leave and get a refund so we could book somewhere else. It took hours of discussion before staff agreed. They first proposed moving us for one night, then putting us back in the same room, which we turned down. We booked another hotel that night, but the refund never came. Later the property asked us to cancel through Booking.com. When we refused, they marked us as a “no-show,” even though we had checked in, collected the key, seen the room, and spent hours raising the problem with staff. The room was nothing like the photos on Booking.com and felt unhealthy to stay in. At first, reception acted as though there was no issue. Looking at other reviews while we were there, I saw that other guests had described the same problem, so the property seemed to know about it. A very disappointing stay and a deeply misleading listing.

We appreciated being allowed to check in early when we reached Rome around noon, especially with bags and the chaos in the streets. The service was good, and management later offered to comp the stay, which we appreciated. The location gives easy access to sights, though it comes at a cost, and the room was smaller than the photos made it look. The problem came that night. When we returned around 8:30pm, the AC wasn't working, and staff had gone home at 6p. We called and spoke with someone, but they couldn't fix it, so we spent the night in a hot room. Our windows faced an ally, where street noise and people passing all night were deafening, around 90 decibles, honestly. Someone from service arrived at 8am and confirmed the AC was broken.

We came on June 2nd, Italy republic day, and being right on Via Del Corso meant we got a great view of the airplanes passing overhead. The location is such a gem, with loads of attractions only a few minutes away on foot, so we had plenty of time to explore by walking. We loved the breakfast, and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The restaurant opposing was also somewhere we'd revisit. A great experience overall. If you're after an affordable place that's really convenient, I'd highly recommend it. I'd definitely come back!

We were so happy with the breakfast, which was brought to us each morning. Our room was clean and had everything we needed, including a private bathroom and air conditioning. The staff were always friendly and ready to help, and the location made it easy to walk to attractions, restaurants, and shops. My stay was perfect. I'd happily stay again if I'm back, thank you!
