Our hostess was lovely, spoke English well, and stayed responsive throughout the trip. When our bags missed the international flight, she went out of her way to help arrange their delivery. I only wish there had been some Roman art on the walls. The location was great, with the closest bus stop about 30 seconds from the front door and the places we wanted to see around 10-20 minutes away on foot. Rooms were clean and nice. Breakfast was good too: fresh cappuccino each morning, plus a crescent roll, meats, cheeses, and homemade sweet cake.

The heating wasn’t working when we arrived in the evening, and the room was so cold that we had a very hard time sleeping. We told the staff the next morning and were told they’d speak with the manager. That afternoon, we were told the manager would be there within an hour, but we waited two hours. When they finally arrived, they said nothing could be done and they’d talk to the owner. We were traveling with our 5-year-old daughter, and I explained that the lack of heat could make her sick. The owner still refused to offer any refund or compensation. Apart from the location, I don’t see an advantage to this place. We had a terrible experience with the heating and how the problem was handled. If you’re coming in winter, I strongly advise staying elsewhere. Their lack of empathy and disregard for guests’ comfort, especially a young child’s, felt unprofessional. Don’t waste your money here.

We only stayed a few nights, but had a great time. The Colosseum, phabteon, and trevy fountain were just a few minutes away on foot. The staff were amazing!

The breakfast was delicious, and I’d recommend adding it. Cornetti, muffins, and pies were a great start before walking 10 miles. Staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They were quick to help if I had a problem or needed a cab. A good choice if you’re trying to stay in Rome on a budget.

The room was a nice size and clean, the location was good, and the elevator had charm. But the service was the worst hotel hospitality experience of our travels. The receptionist was rude, unfriendly, and inflexible. What was just a required weekend workday for her was a once-in-a-lifetime memory for us, and the way she treated us wiped out the comfort and good feeling of a holiday. She also spoke disrespectfully about us in Italian to a colleague, and I understand the language. That left us feeling bad and took a lot of joy out of our Rome trip. Breakfast was very basic, served in a small makeshift hallway, which wasn’t nice. Those two service points felt distinctly unfriendly to guests. Maybe others will be luckier, but based on our experience, we can’t recommend the place for its service.
