Window on Rome

The location was fantastic, and we got a clean room at a great price. My wife and I stayed for one night about four years ago, before our flight home, and the owners welcomed us warmly. If it fits what you need, book it. You won’t regret it.

Trastevere felt like living in our own old town, and we loved the area. Most attractions are about a 30-minute walk if you enjoy walking. The tram and buses are close too, and we took the tram into the city before walking back most days. It was really convenient. The room was beautiful, with amenities we liked and snacks replenished daily. There’s roof access at Window on Rome, with stunning views across Rome.

We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in Rime. The room was quiet thanks to the soundproofing, and the bed was comfortable. The air conditioning was cold, and the shower was great. Staff were friendly and attentive. The hotel is across the river in trendy Trastevere, a great find. There’s complimentary coffee and snacks in the room, and the mini bar has some of the best prices I’ve seen: €1 for water and €1.5 for beer or soda. Head up to the roof for a lovely view of the neighborhood.

Our hosts took such good care of us. They stayed up when we arrived unexpectedly late, booked an amazing place for us to eat, and even ran to the bus stop with my sunglasses after I forgot them on the way out. That’s the kind of care you don’t often find these days. My partner and I were warmly welcomed by Renato and Luigia for our one-night stopover at the end of our Europe vacation. The rooms were spacious and clean, and we had a wonderful stay. I highly recommend it and plan to return next time I’m in Rome.
