B&B Kleos

Breakfast was generous and tasty, especially the cakes Giuseppe's mother made. We stayed at B&B Kleos last July for the Negramaro concert in Messina. Our room had a lovely little terrace, and it was large and bright. The whole place was clean, including the spacious bathroom, which had all the amenities. The staff were kind, friendly, excellent, and always available. I highly recommend it.

We arrived in the early afternoon, although we'd planned to check in that evening after the concert, and the friendly owner was ready to welcome us right away. I'm staying at Kleos B&B now, and the place is very clean, well-kept, and comfortable. The bed is extremely comfortable, and the lovely terrace was spotless and cared for. The large bathroom was clean and in excellent condition, with its fixtures all still in good shape. The value for money is excellent. If I come back to Messina, I'd definitely stay here again.

I'm reposting what I wrote on Booking.com because the B&B I found didn't match the impression I got from the reviews. The room itself was tidy and clean, and I don't think I claimed otherwise. But breakfast was only packaged food. The homemade desserts praised in the reviews weren't out either morning; on the second morning, we got croissants reheated from the day before. The owner says her breakfasts are well known and that she provided lactose-free milk after learning about an intolerance. That milk was there on the second day, but she hadn't asked about intolerances at check-in, and there were no forms or anything like that. The entrance is on a busy road. I chose this B&B partly for breakfast, and I left disappointed. The refrigerator in the room was empty, not even a bottle of water. The owner says a B&B isn't required to stock a fridge, but then I wonder why have one running empty and using energy? Check-in felt rushed, and we were only told which keys opened which doors. Parking wasn't private as the Booking.com listing indicated. It was in the church square, around 70-80 meters away, across the main road. I asked the owner if it was all right to leave the car there, but she hadn't really recommended it. She says the parking she suggested is in front of the B&B. The room was cleaned and tidied, which I acknowledged. In her response, the owner described us as young and accused us of malice and falsehood, while saying she works with devotion and respect for guests. I reported what we found as accurately as I could. The €153 we paid in cash came without a receipt. I wanted to respond because Booking.com doesn't let me reply there.

We were a group of friends and spent just one night here. The room was spacious, nicely furnished and equipped, and had air conditioning. Since we visited during Ferragosto, the owner put on a buffet breakfast with traditional Sicilian sweets. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommended, especially if you're visiting Milazzo.
