Hotel Laguna

The only real plus was being close to the sea. We spent 10 days here and got back two days ago, and I can’t recommend it for the price quoted. The property needs a full renovation: the walls were crumbling, the hydromassage shower didn’t work, and a shower gel had been added, though that was the least of it. The toilet seat was completely off and only fixed on our last day. The room cleaning was almost nonexistent. There was dust on the furniture and the headboard never seemed to get cleaned. Breakfast was poor and disappointing, with completely burnt croissants and no toaster for a savory breakfast. Sometimes the Apulian bread slices were dry and hard. The food quality didn’t feel up to a three-star hotel standard. We even got wine that tasted like vinegar; we returned it, but little changed. We definitely won’t be back.

I’m giving one star only because otherwise the review won’t publish. I wouldn’t have given even that. I didn’t expect places this squalid still existed. We were on holiday with an organized group of more than 50 people, and the way we were treated made us feel like animals. The food was subpar, moldy, and abominable, and the owner was unbelievably rude. I’m writing this so anyone considering a holiday here has the chance to go somewhere else. Be wary of the photos and positive reviews. Our experience was DISGUSTING. There’s so much more I could say, but I’ll stop here. It’s shameful.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and we had a great time during our August 3rd to 10th stay. Our room was spacious and clean. The food was simple but had variety, generous portions, and good quality. We’ll definitely come back if we get the chance.

The food was the real highlight here, truly delicious, and the value was excellent. Everyone was welcoming and so kind, from Giuseppe at the bar, who makes great coffee, to Sara and Nicoletta, who were incredibly friendly. The hotel has a very spacious lobby, an indoor pool, and plenty of parking. It’s also in a strategic spot just steps from the sea. My one small criticism is the lack of plant-based choices, especially at breakfast. Plant-based milk and similar products feel like a must-have everywhere now. Still, everything we ate was delicious, and I’d recommend the place and return.
