8/10
The restaurant is the real highlight here. The food tastes homemade, and both the quality and flavor are really good, so it’s worth eating there if you’re nearby. The place is fairly close to Padova and easy to get to. The rooms feel dated, though they’re furnished well and have air conditioning.

The food was the best, and the staff were wonderful. Sonia and Luca were so attentive and ready to do whatever they could for the guests. Everything was very clean too. Fantastic stay.

The room on the second floor was crawling with disgusting insects. Breakfast was awful, and the waitress’s attitude was just as terrible. Would I suggest this place? A huge no.

The hotel has a lovely rustic feel, and reception was friendly. The rest of the staff could use some customer service training and could stand to smile more. It was my first visit to Hotel El Rustego, and, unfortunately, my last.

I was very disappointed. The breakfast was very poor, the room was in bad shape, and the lift smelled like something was burning.
