Masseria Agrituristica Lama San Giorgio

We spent five nights here. It was quiet and a good spot for relaxing, with lots of places reachable by a short drive. Our room and bathroom were spacious, and there was a terrace and free coffee in the room. We liked having our first coffee in the sun out there. Around the pool there were plenty of shaded places to get out of the sun. Breakfast was buffet style, with coffee brought to the table, and the restaurant served high quality traditional food. The staff were always friendly and very helpful.

We only had a few days, but managed to explore Matera, polignano a mare, monopoly, alberobello, and Bari. Back at the property, we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner each day on the half-board plan. The food was tasty, with large dinner portions, and the service was excellent. Our room was beautiful too, with a lovely view over the vineyards and pool. We loved staying here.

We barely slept. There was a party in the restaurant below our room, and we could hear everything. When I asked the staff to do something, nothing changed, so at midnight I went downstairs myself to ask the people to quiet down. Later, a truck collecting waste made a lot of noise too. It was a terrible night and caused me a lot of stress in the last days of my pregnancy. I definitely won’t return. The place itself is interesting, but it’s not for anyone looking for peace and quiet. Service was unprofessional. Our first-floor room meant climbing lots of stairs, and they felt dangerous because it was easy to slip. The room looked completely different from the photos and didn’t meet our expectations. There was a bad smell in the bathroom, mold on the ceiling, and the cleaning wasn’t done properly. We even found dead insects on the window.

The rooms don’t block sound well, so you can hear everything the neighbors are doing. The meals were pretty average too. The food seemed carelessly prepared and presented, the pasta was far too hard, and the fish arrived quite cold. The juices weren’t fresh, which could be improved. The masseria itself is nice, and the pool area is pleasant, but I wouldn’t stay here again.
