Villa Ambra

We booked four nights after initially planning a shorter stay, then decided to extend because we liked it so much. The pool was clean and the surroundings made it easy to relax. Our room was clean, the staff were polite, and they took care of the details and met every request with a high level of service. Breakfast was great, and so was the coffee. We ate dinner here one evening and wished we'd spent less time trying nearby restaurants for different cuisines. The food was lovely, and the way the staff connected with guests made the meal especially pleasant. Other restaurants could learn from this place. Grazie, and thanks to everyone.

The food at dinner was top-notch, and the wine was amazing. I'd definitely recommend their wine tour and tasting. The owner and everyone on staff were incredibly kind and generous. We had a comfortable bed and a lovely big balcony, and the grounds and pool were great. Breakfast was very good with plenty of variety. I’ll 100% come back.

We had dinner included and got to try different dishes every day over our two weeks. Each meal had four courses, antipasti, pasta, meat with vegetables, and homemade dessert, all fresh, varied, homemade, and simply delicious. Breakfast was served in the garden, with a tasty spread of yoghurt, cereal, bread, fruit, cakes, juice, and coffee. The staff at Villa Ambra were welcoming and friendly, and very professional. We’d like to thank them for that. The hotel is in peaceful surroundings, just 7 km from Montepulciano, and was exactly the restful break we wanted. Villa Ambra gave us time to relax and recharge. Our room and bathroom were both spacious, modern, and clean. There’s an on-site restaurant, free private parking, free WiFi, and a large outdoor pool. Highly recommended. We’ll be back!

The breakfast was delicious, and tiramisu in the morning was hard to resist. The receptionist was polite and really helpful, and I appreciated the great Italian coffee. It’s a cozy place and good value for money. There are a few things to know if you’re a light sleeper or want a hot shower. The room was noisy, the toilet door made a loud sound at night, and the water didn’t get very hot. One of the electrical sockets was also awkward, as I had to make sure the charger was plugged in properly. I’d look elsewhere if those issues matter to you.
