The drive in is a bit of an adventure, with a rough road and two little fords to cross, but it was worth it. We stayed three nights, and the kids were so excited to be right among the fallow deer. It’s wonderfully quiet here. Roberto made us feel very welcome and was always helpful. We’d happily return.

The setting in the woods is lovely and rustic, and the service was attentive and professional. We had homemade starters with cured meats and vegetables, casoncelli with butter, grilled sliced salami, chicken and ribs, plus grilled Formagella della Valle Sabbia and apple pie. The meal came with Puegnago wines from the Delai cellars. Prices felt fair for the quality. A charming, bucolic place for a meal with friends and children, and one we’d like to repeat.

Only 25 minutes from the city, yet it feels like you’ve left it far behind. There’s quiet, fresh air and nature all around, along with authentic flavors. Emma and Roberto are always such gracious hosts.

A great farmhouse, particularly for the homemade ice cream. It also works really well for school groups.
