Aurelio, the owner, made us feel so welcome, and the food and service were spot on for the price. My son and I were visiting from Australia, and our Italian relatives took us to this lovely family restaurant in Vela, in the Lusiana commune. If you get the chance, you really should eat here.

I had one of the best steaks I've eaten here, rare but still hot, with green peppercorn gravy. It's a family-run place that works for a dinner out or a bigger gathering, like a wedding feast or group meal. There's also a small hotel upstairs.

Loved the hometown feel and the good old southern hospitality. The food was excellent and the prices were great. I'll be back for more.

The mixed grill was delicious, and the meat had been cooked really well.
