Amam B&B

Breakfast was okay, though it meant a 10-minute walk to a coffee shop. The rooms, on the other hand, were cold even with the heating A/C turned all the way up, so we slept in sweaters. The ceramic tile floor was freezing too, and the bed was terrible. At night, trash trucks and clanking bottles kept waking us. Cleaning was poor, with dust in the corners and an unclean toilet. The showers were heavily coated with limescale and oxidation, and I doubt they’ve ever been descaled. There’s a coffee machine in the room, but no capsules are provided, quite a catch 😂. Getting in was a hassle: around 9pm the street door wouldn’t open, the intercom didn’t work, and the owner told us to ring three or four times. Luckily, a resident let us in. The owner came across as arrogant in messages and kept sending the same copy-pasted note as if we couldn’t read. We booked through booking because the rooms looked nice and clean, but they were the opposite. Wouldn’t recommend it.

The breakfast was disappointing, since you’re limited to one drink and one dessert. The room was dirty and poorly maintained, which was a real concern. For what it costs, it wasn’t worth it unless they make major improvements.

Security was excellent, and the rooms were tidy, furnished with modern appliances while keeping an Italian look. The location was just okay.

The location was really inconvenient, and parking isn’t provided, so you have to pay extra. The staff were arrogant and the place was dirty. Worst of all, they came into the room without permission. Terrible experience.
