Casa Tellina - Maison de Charme

We were there in the last ten days of December 2018, and the room was freezing in the morning because the owners switched off the heating at night. There was no hot water either. They suggested waiting, but after 20 minutes of running cold water, it was clear it wasn’t coming. The bathroom was cramped, with barely enough room to sit on the toilet. The breakfast photos are misleading: what you actually get is a voucher from the owner for a coffee and croissant at a bar 200 meters away. The room is on the fourth floor of an old building with no elevator and steps about 15 cm high, so it’s a poor fit if you have a stroller, are elderly, or just don’t want to climb four floors. I’d avoid it. Salerno has four-star hotels at similar or even lower prices, with much better service.

For what we paid, this place just didn’t measure up.

Really lovely in every way.
