There was no menu, no dessert, and no options beyond still water and house wine. The appetizer was just okay, mostly fried food and vegetables, while the pasta and main courses were very poor. The orecchiette didn’t taste of much and didn’t seem homemade. We’d placed our order the day before, but they served different dishes and said they’d misunderstood, even though our request was in the message. It seemed possible these were leftovers from the previous dinner. I’m fine with a homely place, but this felt too improvised and rather crafty. It’s only worth it if you want a lot of mediocre food for a low price. A full menu is €25/30. I can’t understand the 4.7 stars on Google.

Those meatballs, made with veal, cheese, and parsley, were the highlight. I couldn’t get enough of them. The orecchiette and the pasta made that morning were homemade too, right down to the cheese on top. Come hungry, or just have a small lunch first, because you won’t want to leave food behind. Franca makes you feel like family in this rustic farmhouse, with its animals, gardens, olive trees, gravel drive, and hay in the air. It feels like going to your grandmother’s. Their wine was good too. Put your phone away for a bit and everything seems better.

We came back after seven years and were so glad we did. The food was fantastic, and everything felt genuine, from the products to the warm family atmosphere that’s hard to find on holiday. Mrs. Franca and Mrs. Lina took such good care of all five of us, including our three children. Pompeo was just as friendly and kind. We can’t wait to spend time with you again. We love you!

It felt like being at home, only without having to cook or do the washing up! The owners were lovely and so kind, and the place was relaxed, clean, and welcoming. The food was excellent, clearly made with care and skill. A lovely experience in a historic farmhouse, with pine trees all around and their scent in the air.
