Esperia

The people were good and the place was very clean. The bed was the only problem.

It worked out very well for our two-night stay.

Really nice.

The whole shuttle experience was awful. He took a lot of cash, then left us waiting in the cold for over an hour after saying it would be 15 minutes. He kept promising, “I’ll be there in 10 minutes.” The next morning he was meant to drive us back to the airport, but the tire that had already been causing trouble the night before went flat. He drove fast down the highway with the flat, straddling both lanes. I was the one who switched on the hazard lights, and we eventually got to a gas station. The spare was buried under a ridiculous amount of dirt, trash, and other unnecessary things. After about 10 minutes of trying to work out why the only key he had there didn’t fit, he sped off again, this time the wrong way down several one-way streets. He took us to a remote village and stubbornly refused to ask for help from the few cars out at 6 a.m. on New Year’s Eve. He kept saying his house was “close by,” but he was just wasting our time. We finally made him stop, got out in the middle of the village, and walked down the road hoping to get a ride. We boarded the plane just as they were calling for the gate to close. I also forgot to mention the practically bald tires, broken windshield, and missing seat belt buckles. It’s a shame we didn’t get the license plate or report him to the police. He was completely unreliable and put both our lives and his own in danger.
