Hotel Altis

The room situation set the tone for a terrible stay at Altis Hotel. We were first put in a nice room, then moved the following night to a worse one with no lock and no hot water. The owner was rude and unprofessional throughout. I found this bait-and-switch treatment unacceptable, and the hotel's three-star rating feels like an insult to decent hotels. Basic facilities were poor too. The shower had weak pressure and no hot water, and there was only a bar of soap, with no hygiene kits, shampoo, or conditioner. For the price, the lack of amenities and the abysmal service made the hotel grossly overpriced. Our privacy was another problem. There was no "Do Not Disturb" sign, and at 9 AM the cleaning staff knocked aggressively and opened the door without permission, even though we'd repeatedly said "later." It ruined our mornings. The elevator also kept breaking down every day, making it very inconvenient to get around. I can't believe Altis Hotel is even operational. It was a nightmare, and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who values their money, time, or peace of mind.
