Hotel Welcome San Benedetto del Tronto

We spent seven days here as a couple on half board and had a wonderful time. Our fourth-floor room came with a sea-view terrace, and parking and beach access were included in the price. We ate well, and the owner and the rest of the staff were extremely kind and helpful. It’s a family-run hotel. Some reviews mention the furnishings, but what matters more to my husband and me is cleanliness and service. Thanks to everyone at the hotel, especially the owners, Sabrina and Doriano.

Oscar deserves a special mention. He was always kind and helpful, just like the rest of the friendly, attentive staff. The hotel has an excellent location and menu. There are two areas that could be better. The beach staff seemed rather distant, umbrella assignments weren’t precise, and the spaces were far too small. Parking is another weak spot for holiday resorts. I appreciated the indoor parking service, but during my week the cars came back completely covered in what were presumably seagull droppings. If a car is left like that for two weeks, it can become a problem because the droppings are corrosive and can damage the paintwork.

The building and rooms feel dated and uncomfortable. On the plus side, the staff are kind and helpful, and the food is excellent and varied, including options suitable for people with food allergies. It’s close to the sea, has a private beach, and offers bicycles.

The kitchen is more than adequate, and the first courses are excellent. The building itself is nice, but feels too dated. The bathrooms still work, though they’re old, and you can hear everything from the street. The windows look like they date from the 1960s. Overall, adequate.
