We loved the peaceful setting and the views from the spa, especially the outdoor Jacuzzi and the outdoor spa with its wood stove. The hotel is small and family-run, with very clean rooms. Breakfast had lots to choose from, including gluten-free bread, and dinner was excellent, with a great salad bar before the meal. The 3 Zinnen ski slopes are only about 10 minutes away. There’s a bus in the morning, with a pickup in the afternoon.

The views across Drei Zinnen are gorgeous, with Toblach opposite and San Candido nearby. I also loved how the shared spaces were decorated. The staff, mostly Argentine, were really nice and made an extra effort. Our room had a view too, and there’s a small wellness area if you have time to relax.

We spent six wonderful days with friends at Hotel Almhof in San Candido. The rooms were comfortable, spotless, and well kept, and the welcoming atmosphere made the stay even better. Staff were kind and attentive throughout, always checking that we had what we needed. I’d happily recommend Hotel Almhof to anyone looking for a place to stay in San Candido.

The room was simple, but comfortable and clean, and we had amazing service. The food could be anywhere from four to five stars depending on what you order, though the salad bar was really good. It’s a lovely mountain setting, with terrific views, an outdoor bubble bath, and a sauna.

The people were lovely, and the views were breathtaking. We visited in summer and really enjoyed it. Our room was great, clean, and nice, and both breakfast and dinner were very good. Dinner came with a particularly nice antipasti buffet. One tip if you’re not used to small Alpine roads: arrive in daylight, since the road is narrow and winding.
