Kerschbaumhof was our favourite of all the beautiful, unique places we stayed during two weeks in Austria and Northern Italy. The apartment was spacious and comfortable, with a kitchenette, and we felt at home there. We loved the stunning balcony view too. The host family were wonderful, and Judith went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed and more. The food was amazing, especially the eggs and strawberry jam, probably the best we’ve had. We’d stay again in a heartbeat if we’re ever in the area.

The people who live here put their body, brain and heart into their work, and you can see it in every detail. They were genuinely kind, the views and surrounding area were beautiful, and breakfast was to die for. Most of the food was homemade: milk, butter, cheese and yoghurt, all made with milk from the cows you can hear in the morning if you’re an early riser. There was a generous amount of food for the price, and every penny I spent felt worth it. Amazing place, just about everything.

The hosts were so kind, and it’s a cosy place with a lovely view. The uphill road could be hard to manage in heavy winter conditions, but you can always ask the hosts for help :)

The host was attentive, and it was great having fresh farm food on site, including dairy, eggs, bread, breakfast and snacks. The apartments are well equipped and the view is stunning. My one suggestion would be better-quality mattresses and pillows, which would make sleeping more comfortable. Thank you!
