Villa il Fedino

Lorenzo and everyone at Villa Il Fedino made our stay feel personal and cared for. When our car broke down, he immediately offered to drive us to the shop to pick it up. We ended up walking the ten minutes, but the offer said a lot. He also gave us a map of local restaurants, and one had some of the best pizza I've ever eaten. The views were as lovely as at our previous hotel, and being right by town meant we could walk to great places to eat instead of having to dine on-site. We found Il Fedino after a disappointing few days at Salvadonica. We'd first picked it for our August 2025 Tuscany trip based on its photos, but the room developed a nasty, almost fungus-like smell. Breakfast didn't feel worth the price, and early morning noise from children, including around the pool, made it hard to relax. The restaurant was overpriced, lacked the Italian classics we'd expected, and the dishes we tried were mediocre. In the last few days, we stuck to ham and melon because it was the only reliably good option. When the car trouble meant we needed to extend our stay, Salvadonica had no room for us and didn't offer a ride to the nearby town, just five minutes away by car. They told us to get a taxi from Florence, which cost 50 euros for that short trip. It was frustrating, but it led us to Il Fedino. The service here was much more attentive and authentic. Breakfast was a highlight: fresh food served beautifully at the table, eggs made to order, and fresh pastries. The quality was exceptional. By comparison, Salvadonica's breakfast seemed industrial and impersonal, with machine coffee and pastries that tasted stale. My girlfriend and I were genuinely impressed. If you're choosing between Salvadonica and Villa Il Fedino, I'd strongly recommend Il Fedino for its hospitality, quality, comfort, and overall experience. Lorenzo was amazing and made our stay great.

We wanted a quiet countryside honeymoon with good food and wine, away from busy places, and Villa il Fedino was a perfect fit. It was peaceful and beautiful, with lots to see and taste nearby. The family's hospitality was excellent, and the historic atmosphere and unique decor made it special. Breakfast was delicious, served at the table as a fresh selection of sweet and savory dishes rather than a buffet. They also gave us great ideas for places to visit. Lorenzo and his family do a wonderful job. We'd highly recommend booking this villa.

The historic furnishings give the villa a magical, authentic feel, and breakfast was a treat, made with carefully prepared local ingredients.

Breakfast was a real highlight, more like a tasting menu than a standard hotel meal, and every morning felt special. The pool area was lovely for relaxing, too. The villa is charming and full of character, with an interesting history and a well-kept building. The owners were so friendly and helpful, and made us feel welcome throughout. Highly recommend it for a peaceful, memorable stay.
