After cycling 88 km to get there, I napped and slept like a baby. The flat was well equipped for cooking and relaxing, with quiet, effective air conditioning. Marco went out of his way to make our stay easy. We could leave our bikes in his nearby private garage, and after we parked, he gave us a quick tour of town. He even came to collect us and our luggage at 6 am so we could get to the garage, which is rare in the leisure industry. Breakfast was plentiful, though it was the classic Italian industrial kind, with juices, milk, tea, coffee, biscuits, biscotti, cakes, jams, and more (see picture). This was the perfect flat for staying in San Colombano al Lambro. I wish all our hotel and B&B stays were like this.

The living room display cabinet with its mugs and other unusual items was a nice detail. The apartment was welcoming, clean, convenient, and had all the comforts. It was fully equipped, with care put into the details. If I come back to this place, I'd choose it again.

Mr. Marco, the owner, was kind and helpful, which was a real bonus and not something you can take for granted. The apartment itself is delightful, clean, comfortable, and welcoming. I have to give it five stars!

The apartment was lovely, clean, and welcoming, so it's a shame about the smell when we arrived. There was a damp, musty odor, and all the sheets had taken it on too, which made sleeping in them unpleasant. I hope this gets fixed.

For us, the washing machine with dryer was a real plus after trekking. The place is nicely kept and has what you need for a courtesy breakfast, though I'd describe it as a guest house more than a B&B. My one suggestion: the air conditioning is too weak to cool the whole apartment. The attendant was polite and helpful.
