Hotel Valle Intelvi

The quiet mountain setting was lovely, and the morning view from the balcony was beautiful. Staff were polite, helpful, and cooperative throughout our stay; breakfast was delicious, parking was accessible, and we enjoyed being here. The mattress was the one major problem. They’d put two single mattresses on a king-size double bed. For better comfort, they should replace them with one large double mattress.

For a very low-cost hotel, it was cozy and the staff were welcoming, friendly, spoke English, and were flexible about check-in and check-out. We stayed one night. Just don’t expect room amenities, and the breakfast is very simple. If you have kids or enjoy a big breakfast, you’d be better off eating elsewhere. There’s a small town nearby with a few pizzerias open until midnight, which is unusual in Europe if you want a late dinner.

The furniture isn’t new or modern, but everything was clean and tidy. It’s an old but gold hotel in a quiet area, with a kind, helpful, and welcoming host. I’d recommend it if you’re just passing through without plans and don’t want to spend too much.

For $42 a night, it’s crazy cheap for this kind of hotel. It’s in a small village surrounded by mountains, and the owners are really nice and helpful. I’ll definitely stay here again.
