Hotiday Room Collection - Circeo

We went at the end of the season, October 3-5, and weren't expecting the whole package, so we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very clean, and the restaurant food was very good, with excellent service. The staff were friendly too, and I couldn't fault the restaurant team. The bar was closed on our last evening, so we went to our rooms and had drinks from the fridge instead. We weren't charged for them! Hopefully they'll refresh the hotel over the winter, as I think it would be in their interest. We'd definitely stay again.

The staff were attentive and nice, and the Wi-Fi signal was strong. We had a balcony with views of both the ocean and mountains, and the beds were comfortable, though the rooms feel dated and need renovating. There’s a beach club and a restaurant right on the waterfront. We were there in June 2023 and the hotel seemed pretty empty. No idea why. Nice beach hotel in San Felice Circeo, and we’d definitely come back.

The rooms looked like they were stuck in an outdated 80s Xanadu style. The bathroom was rusty and dirty, and the old roller door to the balcony was dangerous and wouldn’t open or close. The carpet was peeling up throughout the hotel and felt unsafe to walk on. The building itself was run-down and badly kept. Staff seemed rude and put out when we asked about breakfast and renting a bike. Breakfast was very basic, and service came without a smile. Money poorly spent, to say the least. We’d never recommend it. There are plenty of other places to see and stay.

Breakfast was excellent, but the hotel's stinginess ruined the stay for me. My room's air-conditioning barely worked, and after four hours it was still over 26°C. I was told the hotel was full and nothing could be done. The heat and humidity were hard to escape because, despite the hotel being modern and fully equipped with air-conditioning, it was switched off throughout the public areas, including the lounges and bars, to save money. I struggled to sleep and was tired when I checked out the next morning.
