The hosts were amazing and always available, and check-in was quick and easy even though we arrived late. We stayed in the castle apartment, which was impressively large, with beautiful features and a private garden. The kitchen had plenty of utensils, and the owner had left us a bottle of wine. Parking was easy, though the one-way system means you’ll need to get through a very narrow street when leaving. It’s a great base for visiting salo. We loved the experience!

The tasting and tour were great. The owner, who also makes the wine, is passionate about his work and clearly enjoys sharing it.

The wine here is fantastic, all of it. I especially loved the Malborgetto, which is simply divine. On Tuesdays from April to October, you can taste wine in the beautiful gardens. There’s a vineyard and cellar tour before the tasting.

The wine is excellent. If you get the chance to stay for a tasting, make sure to reserve a spot.

We went to the Tuesday open tasting and got a private tour of the garden and winery, followed by four wines to taste. He also suggested a great restaurant in Salò, Petrellini, and arranged a reservation for us. Such a nice experience.
