Casanova di Pescille

This was the best experience. The place is small and family-run, which makes it peaceful and quiet. The restaurant was so good that we ate there twice, and we liked it much more than most places we tried in Rome and Tuscany. We can’t wait to come back someday. If you’re considering a stay, don’t overthink it, just book. You won’t be disappointed!

We spent a few days here and found it wonderfully peaceful. The garden, the building, and those hill views are all beautiful. The families were so welcoming, and breakfast was fantastic. There’s a little shop with their own products, and you can easily get a coffee during the day. The location works well for outings, but there are also plenty of shady spots and the pool if you’d rather just relax. We’d happily recommend it.

The family running the place were warm, friendly, and knew the area well. They also have their own vineyards and olive groves, and grow saffron. The estate itself is gorgeous, with views across vineyards and toward San Gimignano. The farmhouse has been lovingly kept, with tasteful updates, and our room was very comfortable. There’s a lovely pool for the hot Tuscan weather, and one of the area’s best restaurants is right there. We had some of the best meals of our lives. It’s just a few minutes to town, with wineries all around to explore. My husband and I stayed for the first part of our honeymoon and only wished we’d booked longer. We’ll be back as soon as we can.

The restaurant, Zafferano, was such a hit that we ate there three of our four nights, even though we’d only booked dinner for the first evening. The food and service were excellent. Casanova Di Pescille also made a great base for our drives around Tuscany, and it was lovely to come back after a day out. Our room was cozy and generously sized, with a side terrace we used every day. The gardens and views were beautiful, and it was peaceful and quiet. The Fanciullini family were gracious hosts, always greeting us with a smile and ready to answer our questions. Their kind service and attention to detail made every day special. I can’t think of a better place to stay in Tuscany. We just regret not staying longer and hope to come back for at least a week.
