La Roccaia Agriturismo

Our stay here was a very strange experience. I was puzzled at first by the fences around the pool and garden, but then it felt like the owner had turned the house into a branch of a monastery, with strict rules and constant prohibitions. We had booked a room for a vacation, not a prison cell. So the owner's totally rude, inappropriate behavior, and her yelling “Get out of here” as we left, wasn't surprising. Look for somewhere else to spend your vacation. Shame on Italian hospitality.

The rooms were extremely dark, with old furniture, and everything felt very worn, including the towels and beds. The bathrooms were dirty, and breakfast was really poor, with the cheapest products from a nearby supermarket. Parking is on the street, where there's quite a bit of traffic, so it's not a private spot. The stay was totally overpriced compared with the rest of our trip in Italy. There are plenty of other nice villas, and communicating with the owner isn't possible if you don't speak Italian. We chose to cut our stay short, lose money, and move to another place 3 km away. The terrace might be nice, but the condition of the place is horrible.

The location was excellent, with every notable town and village just a short drive away. Our family of three and two little dogs stayed at the farmstead for two days and enjoyed it immensely. The owners were friendly and courteous, the farmstead was thriving and sunny, and the appartamento was spacious and fully equipped. Highly recommended for first-time visitors discovering Tuscany or anyone wanting a couple of days in the countryside. Grazie!

The three-bedroom apartment was ugly and dark, with no garden. It was all dirty and old. Wouldn't recommend.
