We spent five nights at "La Capanna di Sovestro" and it really did feel like a little paradise in the Tuscan countryside. The setting is unique, and everything is cared for with such dedication and attention that it feels like they want it all to be just right. Their Bed&Breakfast makes for a treat for the senses, especially the food. Each morning Maria Stella (la Mamma di Damiano e Signora di Bruno) bakes a different homemade cake, and they're a joy for anyone who loves pastries. Damiano is someone worth meeting, full of positive energy and keen to make you feel at home. And Bruno, what can I say? He's a great man. His conversations, care, and all the little things he does really touched our hearts. You might think we're trying to sell you on the place, but we're not. It deserves all this praise, though we'd almost rather keep quiet because we don't want it to become crowded with Italian and international tourists. Still, it seems inevitable that it will one day.

The room was clean and comfortable, and we were treated like family. Damiano's parents are wonderful people who welcomed us and spoiled us. Breakfast and the olive oil were amazing, and really, everything was fine. We've always stayed in hotels, but the value for money here is definitely the big draw. We'll be back for sure. Thank you. Bruno and his wife made us feel completely at home. He was especially helpful with suggestions for places to see and eat, and his wife baked fresh pastries for breakfast each day. Bruno also made kebabs with olive oil and tomatoes from their garden. We spent seven nights at La Capanna di Sovestro, a great base for exploring Tuscany, just 1.5 km from San Gimignano. It seems like a lovely spot for spring, with all the greenery around it. I’d call it a guesthouse rather than a B&B, though, since breakfast isn’t included, and the price is already high, even more than booking through Booking. A few thoughtful touches would make a difference, like a coffee machine, fruit, a kettle for tea, or a bottle of wine. There wasn’t much attention to customer service.
