Roberto made us feel at home as soon as we arrived. He was warm and very helpful, and came up during breakfast to check whether we needed anything else. The breakfast was carefully prepared, varied, and more generous than we expected, with breads, croissants, cheeses, eggs, salad, fruit, and cereal. Our room was charming and well equipped. The pool was exceptionally clean, with 270 degree views of the Tuscan hills. The property’s setting is picturesque, and although the road down is long, narrow, gravelly, and winding, like many small roads in Tuscany, the views are worth it. We’ve just left Villa del Sole after two nights, and I wanted to write a positive review right away. We had an excellent stay and only wish we’d stayed longer. Highly recommend.

Roberto was very kind, and the garden and pool were lovely. The views from both are breathtaking. We stayed seven days and were a bit sad to leave. Villa del Sole is about 3km from San Gimignano, making it a great base for exploring Tuscany.

We only spent one night at Villa del Sole in San Gimignano, and wished we could have stayed longer. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the room was cozy and well equipped. Breakfast was generous and delicious, and the villa’s views were breathtaking. It’s just a short 3-4 minute drive from San Gimignano, so it’s a convenient base for exploring the area. Roberto was warm, kind, and helpful, and made us feel truly welcome. Highly recommend this Tuscan gem!

I can’t recommend this hotel. I made a last-minute, non-refundable reservation through a booking site for a family trip to Tuscany. Then my work schedule changed, so I needed to adjust my plans, but the owner refused. I had to cancel just three hours after booking. I know cancelling a non-refundable reservation was my fault, but I’d lost 680 euros in only three hours. I asked the owner for some other compensation, and he refused. The owner provided no service to me and simply took the profit. If you change your mind after booking this hotel, they won’t compensate you. Please remember that.

We loved the setting and how warmly Roberto treated us. Breakfast was the finishing touch, too. Try stepping into the garden at night for a look at the stars.
